Chinking

Log Chinking fills the gaps in log homes.  It is generally used to fill the space in between the horizontally stacked logs.  There aren't many log homes being constructed today.  But when you need to find a high quality caulking that stretches and compresses you might want to consider using chinking.  

The latest chinking consists of a flexible, mortar textured blends of latex and acrylics that have stones and granules of rock. 

Like anything else, there are quality grades and different price points.  How do you choose a product? Well, ultimately it all depends on where and how you plan on using these products.

The most common application in the Summit County Market is Log Siding and Chinking. In the last decade, this has been a very popular look.  It generally fools most into thinking that the cabin or home is constructed of logs.
